Unknown instrument on Bf109G-6 gerätetafel-träger
I found this photo at "JG 300 Wilde Sau" by Lorant & Goyat, showing the Bf 109G-6 "Red 2" of Uffz. Hannes Schmitz.
The indicator that I marked on the gerätetafel-träger is not a SZKK3 box. It looks to me like a clock that was mounted on an adapter plate and spacers. If my guess is true, there should be a different indicator on the actual clock opening on the träger. Could it be a MW50 pressure gauge (Fl.20504-3) as used on the K-4 träger or an autopilot switch (Fl.22559-2)? I know its quite a long shot but I hope somebody has seen such a setup on a Bf 109 cockpit photo.
Regards,
Batur

Hello Badur,
G-6 with MW 50 only G-6 / R2
G-14 and G-10 holders on the right side of the fuselage.
Course control only G-10 / R6 and a few K
Do you have a better picture? You can't see much like that
greetings

Sorry ...Batur...
Re: Unknown instrument on Bf109G-6 gerätetafel-träger
for the JG 300, 301 302 there were modifications for the night hunt.
Mostly variometer, emergency turning pointer switch for tail light and landing lights
Reconstruction was carried out by the shipyard in consultation with the RLM

Re: Unknown instrument on Bf109G-6 gerätetafel-träger
Thank you Harald. I do not have a better photo. After a second look however, I think this unknown indicator is larger than a clock. May be a variometer as you mentioned but I guess it had an extension at the bottom as the altimeter. It looks like it is not round as a variometer.
By the way, I wonder how the pilot would see the ammo counters when their view is blocked because of this indicator.

this could be!
The F-1 still had the counter of the E.
this opening for installation was still available up to the wooden equipment board carrier.

Thanks Harald. Can you send me a photo of the instrument panel of WNr. 160087 given at Vogt's book at page 261? Somebody on facebook mentioned it.
